HELLO,
JERRY WALTERS
I WILL HELP YOU WITH YOUR PROBLEMS.
FIRST LET’S DO THE NERVOUS PROBLEM, IF YOU JUST TAKE SOME REST YOU WILL HANDLE IT MORE EASY.
AND THEN YOUR CLOTHES JUST WEAR SOMETHING CASUAL NOT TO SHINY NOT TOO NERDY.
THEN I HEARD YOU WANNA BE A COOL KID, JUST BE YOURSELF UNLESS YOU ARE A DOUCHEBAG.
AND THE FOOD JUST BRING A LUNCH PACK WITH A SANDWICH.
MY FIRST SCHOOL DAY WENT VERY WELL. I DID INFACT KNOW THE WAY.
THEN I DON’T KNOW WHO YOUR MENTOR IS YET THAT WILL BE LATER ON.
THE GRADES ARE INDEED A BIT HARD TO UNDERSTAND, SO THE GRADES. 8/8 IS A TEN. AND ON YOUR REPORT THE 8 WILL BECOME A 7/7.
Letter 2:
Dear Laar en Berg,
I am soon going to the secondary school, and I have some questions.
I think Laar en Berg is the best school for me. I like English, and sport.
But here are the questions I want to ask:
˙What subjects we have in the first class?
˙How long we have a break?
˙Did we do a lot of projects?
˙Is thera a lot of bullying?
˙What for labtop did we get?
I am realy exited about Laar en Berg and I hope to see you next year
Letter 2 advice:
grades
The grades of Laar en Berg are a little bit different than other schools. We have grades out of 8 instead of 10. This all has to do with the MYP but we will talk about that in a different part of this booklet. The grades can be really confusing if you are new on Laar en Berg but you will get used to it pretty fast. If you have a 4/8 than you just have a sufficient grade (voldoende). Anything lower than a 4/8 is a unsufficient grade (onvoldoende). Anything higher than 4/8 is better than a sufficient grade. The best grade you can get is 8/8 this means you have done everything correct. There are 4 criteria, criteria A, B, C and D. You get a grade for every criteria out of 8. On your report card (rapport) you get a Best Fit. This means that your teacher gives you an average of your grades. And this grade can change if your teacher thinks you need a higher or lower grade. This grade is out of 7 instead of 8. This is how grades work. This is pretty hard but you will get used to it.

what makes l en b special
The thing that makes our school so special is the MYP. It stands for Middle Years Progam. This means that you get lessons in English. Sometimes this is very hard but you will get used to it very fast. Laar en Berg is a Havo/Vwo School but when you are in year 4 you end your MYP and you start with a normal school. You can choose to go to Havo or Vwo. You can also choose to go to the international school in Hilversum and there you can finish your school in English.
